Edward H. Gallagher, Realtor Emeritus.
Ed was born October 17, 1932 in Indianapolis and died June 10, 2018. He was the son of Frederick A. Gallagher and Josephine H. Gallagher. He is survived by his wife, Marty Gallagher, a retired F.C. Tucker agent. He met Marty 30 years ago when she wrote an offer on one of his listings. They were married 4 months later. He is also survived by his 4 children, Matthew James Gallagher, Jerri Clegg, John H. Gallagher, and Jennifer Brunkow; as well as 4 grandchildren.
Upon graduation from Wabash College in 1954, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta (President in 1954). He enlisted in the Army for 2 years. Upon discharge, he began preparing for a career in real estate where he continued until retirement in March of 2015.
In 2008, he was awarded the Realtor Emeritus Award for his long and outstanding service to the National Association of Realtors. The highlight of his career was spent working for the F.C. Tucker Co., where he was the manager of the Keystone/Crossing office. During that time, he received the F.C. Tucker Senior Memorial Award.
There will be no funeral, but a celebration gathering will be announced later. Friends will be contacted. Please no flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed’s name to the Southside Animal Shelter or F.A.C.E. Clinic.
