Chester K. Guynn (USN, Ret.) of Indianapolis, age 83, passed away peacefully at home with family on January 1, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlotte J. Guynn; three children: Cynthia L. Mann, Deborah K. Guynn, and Karl D. Guynn; four grandchildren: Erin S. McHugh, Ryan C. Mann, Cara N. Rodriguez, and Lauren A. Mann; and two great-grandchildren.
Born in Louisville, Chet actively served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and then the U.S. Naval Reserve for almost 36 years, attaining the rank of Master Chief (SKCM). Chet was a graduate of duPont Manual High School (Louisville) and Rutgers University. Chet was also a faithful member (along with Charlotte) of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis for 30 years.
Memorial Services will be 11am-12pm, on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 8140 Union Chapel Rd. (80th & Keystone) in Indianapolis. Family visitation will be held 10-10:45am.
