Yvette E. (Parkhurst) Hicks, 68 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at her home.
She was born on Sunday, July 20, 1952 in Franklin, Indiana to the late Cecil R. and Virginia E. (Chandler) Parkhurst.
Yvette graduated from Franklin Community High School in 1970. She worked for The Masonic Home and later retired from KeyBank in 2005. Yvette and Gene were married on July 4, 1970 and spent the next 50 plus years in love. She was an amazing woman that had so much love to give. She would walk into a room and light it up. She enjoyed spending time with family and spoiling all her grandchildren. Every year we would take a vacation to Ft. Myers Beach. She always loved the beach and ocean. Her final resting place will be at the beach so that when we go on vacation, she will always be on vacation with us.
Yvette is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Harold E. (Gene) Hicks; children Christopher Hicks, Abigail Taddario, and her husband Robert; brother, Michael Parkhurst; sisters in law, Jan Parkhurst, Debbie Reguli, Ann Hicks; mother-in-law, Betty Hicks; grandchildren, Macie Taddario, Katalina Taddario and Anthony Taddario.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
