Wilma Faye Gill

November 20, 1938 — June 18, 2024

Carmel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet mother, Wilma Faye (Kelly) Gill, beloved mother to her three children, Grandmother to her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She passed away peacefully in Carmel, Indiana on June 18, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Faye was born and raised in Harlan County, KY. She eventually made Smyrna, TN her home for many years, raising her three children where she made some of her best memories.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Angie) Gill of Smyrna, TN, Melissa (Nick) Ancelin of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Debbie Johnson of New Palestine, IN, who will never forget the love she brought into their lives.

Faye deeply loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Her grandchildren are Lucas, Ryan, Britney, Clauda and Keegan. Her great grandchildren are Audrey, Kylie, Callie and Harper. She took joy in bringing special treats to her great grandchildren, in particular. She always loved the little ones. Her generosity and sweet nature will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ethel McKnight Kelly and Ap Kelly, and her five siblings: Scott Kelly, Kit Kelly, Bud Kelly, Thelma Short (Kelly) and Jim Kelly.

A memorial service will be held at Restoracy of Carmel, Indiana with the incredible friends and staff, along with Heart to Heart Hospice, that were the bedrock of her care and friendship throughout her time there.

A second memorial will be held in Tennessee at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to https://www.americanbrainfoundation.org
