Wilma Jean Blessinger

Wilma Jean Blessinger, 90, of Westfield, passed away on May 14, 2024 with her daughter, Sharon, by her side. She was born on November 21, 1933 to Wilford and Ada Shafer. 

 Jean graduated from Milroy High School 1951. After graduation, she was a telephone operator Milroy, In., until her marriage to Donald L. Blessinger. Jean became a Floral Designer for Meeks Florist, Marilyn’s Flowers and later owned her own business Jean and JoAnn’s Florist all of New Castle IN.

Jean enjoyed her Grand Children and traveling with her husband on motorcycles with friends and living in Florida several months of the year.

After retirement, Jean enjoyed traveling, and working in her flower gardens.

Jean is survived by her loving children, Sharon Blessinger Meece and Ronald Blessinger. Three Grandchildren Shane Rifner, Mark Meece and David Blessinger. Four Great Grandchildren, Lainey Rifner, Levi Rifner, Mason Meece and Peyton Meece. Three Sisters, Margie Imlay, Janet Christmas, Teresa Poindexter.

Predeceased by her Husband of 65 years Donald L. Blessinger. Her Grandson, Joshua Ryan Blessinger and Two Sisters, Lucille Howell and Maxine Wilkes.

A private service with Family will be held at Indiana Funeral Care. A Celebration of life will be held in June, date pending.
