William "Will" Joseph Ryan, age 39, former resident of Carmel, IN, passed away unexpectedly January 8, 2021.
Will lived his life like a meteor racing through the night sky. He was an incredibly energetic and compassionate person who had a special place in his heart for vulnerable people and animals. He will be remembered for his zany sense of humor, his hilarious impressions, his infectious laugh, and his ability to connect with anyone from anywhere.
From his early days performing jokes in his red bathrobe and bowler hat for his family to his later efforts at film-making and DJ-ing, Will loved to entertain people. He was gregarious and friendly and loved to swap stories with strangers - who never stayed strangers long.
Will was an animal champion, owning two little dogs and two rescued cats, all of whom he adored and loved to baby. Animals and children always loved Will, his playful spirit and kind heart helped him connect with them easily.
Will touched many lives in his short time here, and will be terribly missed by those who knew and loved him. Gifts in his honor can be made to the FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic of Indianapolis or the Indianapolis Humane Society.
He is survived by his parents, William T. and Diann Ryan of Carmel, his sister Emily Jervis and her family, his longtime partner Jackie Matracia, his canine companion Sully, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a proper gathering to remember Will will be held at a later date.
