William G. Wagner

October 20, 1940 — April 1, 2021

William (Bill) G. Wagner, age 80, passed away April 1, 2021 at home, after a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born on October 20, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, son of Donald and Alice Wagner. Bill was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed many outdoor activities. He married Judy Warring on August 3, 1963. Together they enjoyed many years of camping with their motorhome. Bill was a proud alumnus of Michigan State University and loved following Spartan sports. He had a successful career in Sales/Management with Burroughs Corporation (Unisys). While living in Rochester Hills, Michigan, he served 12 years on the Rochester Community Schools Board of Education. Bill and Judy retired to Eddyville, Kentucky where they built a log home on Lake Barkley. They enjoyed wonderful friendships within their church community there. In 2017, Bill and Judy continued their retirement, moving to Fishers, Indiana. They have made many new friends in their Del Webb community, along with serving as active members in the New Hope Presbyterian Church.
Bill is survived by his wife Judy, of 57 years and their two sons Robert (Meghan) of Dublin OH; and Michael (Amy) of Mason OH. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Ben, Matthew, Mason, Megan and Allie. He is also survived by three siblings, Ruth Ann (John) Cook of Wayland, MI; Douglas (Nancy) of Ada, Mi; Barb Fisher of Westland, MI, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on June 5th, at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 12550 Brooks School Rd, Fishers, Indiana, 46037. Pastor Steve Ebling will be officiating.
