William C. Freeland

William C. Freeland, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

He was born on January 29, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late Jesse Elmer and Ida Frances (Utterback) Freeland. 

Bill married the love of his life, Regina "Tina" Mattingly on May 12, 1962 and together they shared 65 years. Bill retired from General Motors in 1997 after 30 years of service. After retirement he worked at Community Hospital for 12 years in guest relations. Bill loved playing golf until he no longer could, so he watched it on TV instead. Bill was a big teaser, he would get a big kick out of people's reactions. 

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ida; sister, Joanne and his brother, Bob.

He is survived by his wife Tina; daughter's, Denise, Cindy, Melissa; brother, Ron; multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Visitation is Thursday, May 23, 2024, 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm.

Burial is private.
