William B. Churchill Jr.

William B. Churchill Jr. (Bill), passed away peacefully in his home the morning of November 9, 2023 at the age of 72.  He was an army veteran who was an avid supporter of the American Legion, Disabled Veterans, Wounded Warrior Project, and Wheelers Mission.

Bill was born October 19, 1951 in Beech Grove, Indiana to William Sr. and Elizabeth Churchill.  He was the second oldest of nine children.  Bill attended both Carmel and Broad Ripple high schools before his induction into the U.S. Army.  During his service, he received the National Defense Service and Armed Forces Expeditionary medals.  After his honorable discharge, Bill entered the field of HVAC, following in his father’s footsteps.  Later Bill met and married Patti Sotus on October 23, 1976.  They had four beautiful daughters, Toni, Staci, Cassi and Jodi.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother, father, his sisters Suzie and Debbie, brother Gary and his daughter Cassi.  He is survived by his wife Patti of 47 years, his three daughters, 7 grandchildren, his siblings Linda (Perry) Poe, Candy (Larry) Marsh, Greg (Cheri) Churchill, David (Donna) Churchill, Pam (Matthew) Westbrook and many nieces and nephews.

Bill’s viewing will be Tuesday November 14, 2023 from 4-6 pm and his service will be Wednesday November 15, 2023 at 2pm both at Indiana Funeral Care located at 8151 Allisonville Rd Indianapolis, IN 46250.  Interment will follow at Crown HIll Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Legion Carmel Post in Bill’s name.
