William Clarance Wood, son of Henry Wood and Fannie Bradshaw-Wood, was born on July 2nd, 1937 in Glasglow, KY and departed this life on June 4th, 2020.
He joined Pleasant Union Baptist Church at an early age. He moved to Indianapolis in 1965 and later worked at Indiana Asphalt Company and retired after 40 years. William enjoyed listening to his down home blues, his favorite music.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters, Lou Ella Lewis, Emma Jean Martin, and Madelyn Hall; brother, Henry C. Wood and Leo Wood (deceased); Mary Pauline, the mother of his nine children, Michael Wood (deceased), David Wood, Elisa Wood-Brown, Stephon Wood, Daniel Wood, Venus Wood, Michelle Wood, Marcus Wood, Venitra Wood, and their little sister, Dana Wood; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
