William 'Bill' Allee

November 26, 1944 — September 30, 2024

Noblesville

It is with tremendous sadness that we share the passing of William (Bill) Allee of Noblesville, IN, age 79. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Ever a sports fan, Bill rounded the bases and headed home to be with his Heavenly Father on September 30, 2024.

Bill was born in Indianapolis on November 26, 1944, to Mabel (Byers) and William Allee, both who preceded him in death.

He is survived by Linda Allee, his true love and wife of 42 years, his adoring daughters Shawn (spouse Danny) McColl, Amy (spouse Max) Newman, and his pride and joy – his 7 grandchildren Jacob Broida, Abby Broida, Max McColl, Ben McColl, Elijah Appelman, Ravi Appelman and Nathan Newman.

Bill graduated Broad Ripple High School and Indiana University, where his proudest collegiate accomplishment was as a walk-on to the IU Soccer Team. It was on this team, that he had an opportunity to play under his mentor and friend, Coach Jerry Yeagley.

Bill is also survived by many loving family members, including his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews, and countless friends - all of whom he touched profoundly.

Bill was a stranger to no one. His kindness, generosity and humble nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Friends shared that he had a gift for storytelling. His ability to remember details of a sporting event or someone he met, drew people to him and left friends hanging on his every word. Everyone remembers his quick-witted sense of humor and ability to come up with a pun on the spot.

Bill was an avid euchre player, participating in a regular game with a close-knit group of friends. His competitive spirit was demonstrated by twice winning the Bob Jenkins Memorial Euchre League Tournament.

Bill was a lifelong sports enthusiast. He worked in sports marketing with Indy car drivers, as well as projects for the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and Indiana University Basketball. He had a passion for baseball, even working as a scout for the Detroit Tigers in the late ‘60s. He was also an avid fan of Indy Car racing, attending the Indianapolis 500 his entire life, only missing the race a few times in recent years.

Bill attended Northview Church, and was passionate about his involvement with the life-changing Discipleship Walks.

The family is grateful for the loving and compassionate care provided by Riverview Health.

His last selfless act was donating his body to Indiana University School of Medicine.

Those who wish to honor Bill’s memory may do so by making a contribution to the Indiana Parkinson Foundation at www.indianaparkinson.org

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
