Vada Lyles, age 73, passed away on April 26, 2020. Vada was born February 24, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Cyril and Lurene Carter (Cooksey).
Vada attended School 26 and graduated from Tech High School. Vada also attended and graduated from Ivy Tech College, receiving certificates from Indiana Bible College. Vada was a very intelligent and knowledgeable person, offering words of wisdom to many people.
Vada was employed at RCA for many years and later worked at Conseco, later becoming Bankers Life, where she retired from.
Vada accepted the Lord as her savior at a young age at St. Paul CME. Vada later joined and attended Trinity Baptist Church for many years before joining College Park Baptist Church. Vada enjoyed being an active and supportive member in the churches she attended. She taught Sunday School and other Youth Organizations and was involved in many Church Prayer Groups. Vada was a true Disciple of Christ leading many people to the Lord.
Vada loved to travel; as a young adult, she traveled to Jerusalem to walk the Holy Land where Jesus walked. She also traveled to Italy to the Vatican. Other hobbies Vada had were sewing, crafts, and even partook in a walking group.
Vada was proceeded in death by both Parents Cyril and Lurene Carter, two Brothers Cyril Carter Jr, and James Sarver, sister Phyliss Meadows, and five nephews Chris Ingram Sr., Duron Bell Jr., Courtney Sarver, James Sims Sr., Dwight Turner Sr., and Dejuan Burruss Sr.
Vada leaves to cherish her memory two Sisters Correne Hawkins, and Malinda Harper, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
