Traci Beckstead

“Traci has left the building.”

Traci Jeanne Beckstead, age 53, currently of Indianapolis Indiana, died peacefully at home on September 15, 2022, after a valiant battle with breast cancer.

Traci was born in Van Nuys, California on March 4, 1969. She spent the early years of her busy life in Southern California, never too far from her Mom, friends and hometown of Simi Valley.

Traci took a leap of faith — the first of many — and moved from Southern California to San Francisco in the mid ‘90s. She got her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources at San Francisco State University and started her long and successful career with Merrill Lynch/Bank of America.

Traci’s long-standing success as a Manager at ML/BA was a testament to her commitment and drive toward excellence for herself and her firm. Traci made life-long friends wherever she went and inspired so many along the way.

Traci’s career was second only to her large extended family, her puppers Auggie and Ava, and TRAVEL! Traci always said that she worked to travel. And travel she did! So many places she’s been and so many more she wanted to see.

Traci had the most infectious laugh and was the best hugger!!! She never took herself too seriously but loved fiercely and protectively.

Traci loved bling, Elvis, The Rat Pack, Munich, Bruno Mars, TikTok-ing into the wee hours, boy bands, hip-hop, romcoms, dominoes, Loch Ness, Downton Abbey, Michael Buble, Jewels (i.e. The Crown Jewels), The Seahawks, Jimmy Graham, NFL football and DACHSHUNDS!

We talked a lot the last few months and as sad as she was to leave, she knew she’d lived a wonderful and full life and wished the same for all who knew and loved her.
