Tonya Krasienko

Tonya Krasienko, 56, often known as Miss K, passed away on September 2, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana, after a short illness.

Tonya was born on October 31, 1967, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Stanley and Maryellen Krasienko. A kind and loving spirit, Tonya showed us all what giving means. She gave her time to her family, students, and any stray person needing a loving friend.

Tonya graduated from Greenfield Central High School in 1986 and Purdue University in 1990. At that point, she started her lifelong career at Indianapolis Public Schools. Whether she worked in a classroom or an administrative office, Tonya was loved by all. If you wanted to find a group of students, you just needed to find Tonya. She treated her students with respect, invested in their lives, and taught each one of them about the value of both giving and learning.

Above all, Tonya loved and cared for her family--which included her blood, her adopted family, and anyone who needed a safe place to be who they were. Everyone who met her loved her kind ways and sweet spirit. She was the best gift giver. Whether you were a student, a friend, or part of her family, she knew what you needed and went out of her way to get it. What Tonya never realized was that most of us considered her one of the best gifts we ever received.

Tonya is survived by her other half, David Webb, Jr.; her sisters, Lori Krasienko and Nikki Krasienko; her daughter, Karlina Ariella Krasienko Logan; her aunt, Kathy Horein; and her cousins, Jenny Dell, Kim Smartz, Michael Horein, and Kelly Young.

Tonya is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Krasienko, and her mother, Maryellen Krasienko.

Services for Tonya will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m., and a short celebration of life service will follow at 3 p.m. Please join us as we celebrate a life well lived.

Tonya will be memorialized at the Washington Park East Cemetery, Cumberland Trails cremation garden at a later date.
