Timothy Dale Adkins

Timothy Dale Adkins, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and proud Navy veteran, passed away suddenly on April 26, 2024, at the age of 62. 

He was born to the late Drexel Benjamin and Nellie Florence Adkins in Shelbyville, IN. Timothy, the oldest of the Adkins brothers, left a profound impact on all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Adkins, and his daughter, Rebecca Adkins. 

Timothy is survived by his brothers, Joey Adkins, and Chris Adkins. Timothy deeply cherished his role as a father and will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Timothy Adkins II, Benjamin Adkins, Nathan Adkins, Andrew Adkins, and his daughter Brittany Cosner-Brown. Timothy treasured his role as a grandfather and will be dearly remembered by his grandchildren, Lexus Hendley, Dayton Adkins, Isabella Adkins, Paige Adkins, Ava Adkins, CJ Brown, Leila Brown, and Bentley Brown. Additionally, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends whom he loved immensely.

A service to honor Timothy's life will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, with visitation from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. 

The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by military honors and burial at Acton Cemetery.

Timothy will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will be remembered for his loving sense of humor, his empathetic personality and his deep affection for the family and friends around him.
