Thomas Edwin “Tom” Knapp, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 22, 2019. Tom was born on July 16, 1950 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to the late Edwin and Leah (Geist) Knapp.
Tom graduated from Emmerich Manuel High School in 1968. Immediately following high school, Tom joined the Air Force. He served as an Aircraft Mechanic in the United States Airforce from 1971 - 1975. He was then Honorably Discharged after 4 years of dedicated service.
Tom was an active member of Faith United Church of Christ and Capitol City Conservation Club.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathy Hedger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Beth Knapp, children; Kory Knapp, Thomas Knapp, Kyle Trahan, Heather Justice, Apryl Kirby, Katrisha Burkes, siblings; Susan Beers, Timothy Knapp, Mary Smith, and Jennifer Rondott, as well as many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews,
Tom was a loving husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Faith United Church of Christ.
