Theresa (Terry) Miller (Niedzielka), 88

On October 10th, Terry Miller passed away peacefully from the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Theresa Valeria Miller was born January 31, 1933 in Braddock Pennsylvania as the third girl and fifth child of Helen and August Niedzielka. She was very proud of her family and her Polish heritage.

Terry worked many years in retail in the Pittsburgh area before moving to Lafayette 30 years ago to be near her only child, Jon Miller (wife Patty) and to be a part of their lives and those of her two grandsons, Joey and Danny.

She worked for several years at Purdue University in University Residences. As one always to stay busy, Terry didn’t retire until she was 72 years old.

She was an avid Bingo player and very involved with her church, Blessed Sacrament of West Lafayette. She volunteered in the church office for many years.

Terry always talked about how grateful she was to have a new life here in Indiana. She was very proud of her grandsons and bragged about them to everyone she knew. She loved to entertain with funny stories about herself and her misadventures. The sharing of laughter and her generosity will always be how Terry is held dear.

Terry was married to John (Sonny) Miller, he passed away in 1996. She is survived by her son Jon, daughter-in-law Patty (Sherrill), two grandsons, Joey and Danny, a sister Cecilia Repasi of Pittsburgh PA, and a brother, Robert Niedzielka of Spring Hill Florida.

She loved her dog Sam, for who she arranged an adoption with a loving family and who also survives. Terry would have loved knowing Sam was mentioned here.

Terry will always be remembered by those who knew her with a smile, and a fondness for her spirit and generosity. There will be no public service or memorial, however friends may honor Terry if they wish, through a donation of either time or money to Blessed Sacrament Church or the charity of their choice.
