Terri Sue Terry, age 60, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 20, 2021, due to complications from the Covid-19 virus. She was born on March 22, 1960 in Rockford, IL to Charles and Clara Hart (Greenlee), both of whom precede her in death. Terri graduated from Harlem High School in 1978. She then went on to get a certificate of surgical technology in 1992. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all people who had the privilege to share a conversation with her. She loved deeply and cared even harder and would never question putting another persons’ needs in front of her own. Even in her sickness she was kind, thoughtful, and always seeking what she could do to help others. Her first question was always “how can I pray for you today?”. She gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ in the mid-90s and from that point on was a dedicated servant. Her mission was then focused on bringing people to know him. She loved having and attending bible studies and loved planting a seed of God into people¬¬. In her passing, it’s become more than apparent many of these seeds have taken deep roots and have changed so many people’s lives. From praying for the addicts, to comforting the hurting soul, to just being the one person who was always there to lift you up, or to show you there is a right and a wrong path and you will always know which is which. She truly was an angel among us for these past 60 years and now she will always be watching over us as our guardian angel.
She was a dedicated professional at Swedish American Hospital where she worked for 25 years as a surgical technician then a billing professional. She loved working in the medical field and often brought work home with her to make sure everything was right. She also was the type of person that when she put her mind to something there was nothing that was going to stop her from achieving the goal or task at hand. She fought so hard for everything in life, just to be willing to give it away without a second thought to a person in need. She was the most amazing woman and she will be missed every second of every day. You finally made it home Momma, you are with your heavenly father, until we meet again. We love you more than all the hearts in the world.
Terri is survived by her two children: Nicole Mckinney (Zachariah) and Samuel Terry (Gabriella); 3 sisters Julie Thaxton (Floyd), Sharon Hecox, Jackie Hecox; 2 brothers Charles (Chuck) Hart (Pam) and Jon Hart (Jackie); and 4 beautiful grandchildren; Jaxson Terry, Ava Mckinney, Liam McKinney and Madilyn Zingree.
You are loved by so many more people than you will ever know and you will forever live on in our hearts. XOXOXO Love You Momma
