Teddy Lee Atwood

Teddy Lee Atwood, 76 of Orestes, IN, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Community Hospital in Anderson, after a brief illness.

He was born March 11,1948 in Elwood, IN, the son of Eugene and Jeannie (Whitaker) Atwood. He graduated from Elwood High School and shortly after married Debbra J. (DiRuzza) Atwood on July 24,1971.

He is survived by his son, Chad (Michael Riley) Atwood; daughter, Alisha (Charlie) Peavler; grandchildren, Bransten, Camden and Ava Peavler; and siblings, Ellen (Duane) Young and David Atwood.

Teddy was a long-time employee of RCA in Marion, IN where he was a proud Union Member.

He loved playing cards, camping, fishing, hunting, going to car races, sporting events, and cooking and grilling. He especially loved spending time with his three grandchildren and attending their sporting events and special occasions. He was also very excited for the arrival of his first great-granddaughter who is due in March 2025.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Debbie; father, Eugene; mother, Jeannie; brother, Steve Atwood; sisters, Martha Hardesty, Donna Jeske, and Kimberly Atwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to the ASPCA of Madison County, as Ted was a lover of animals.
