Suemma Jane Jones

March 26, 1957 — June 2, 2020

Sister Suemma (Susie) Jane Cosby Dillon Jones was born March 26, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN and lived in Madison, IN until the family moved to Indianapolis. She was the daughter of the late Robert A and Patricia Lane Cosby.
Susie graduated from Washington High School and later she received her Degree from ITT Tech of Indianapolis in the field of Art and Computer Design.
Susie was joined in marriage to the late Ronnie Lee Dillon. Susie had four children: Ronnie Lee Dillon, Carlos Jerome Dillon, Shanell Nanette Dillon Clingman (Aaron Clingman), and Justin Ryan Byrd.
Susie was married to the late Major Jones and her step family; Major Jones II, Brent Jones, Gary Jones, Brian Jones and Tony Jones.
Susie accepted Christ and baptized in Jesus’ Name at Lord Christian Fellowship Church by Pastor Jerome and Toni Darring.
Susie was devoted to her family and friends. Susie’s greatest accomplishment was being the caregiver for her brother Mark Cosby for over 15 years in her home.
Susie’s greatest joy was playing Softball for over 20 years. Just to name a few; she played for Paul Harris Softball Team and also with Charlie’s Angels. Her motto, “If I didn’t break something (arm, leg, and foot) then I wasn’t playing hard enough”.
She was the best babysitter for all of her sisters and brother’s children including her cousins and friend’s children. Susie was truly loved by all the children and to this day, she was the Favorite Aunt to all the nieces, nephews, and cousin.
Susie Jones departed from this life on Monday, June 2, 2020 at 63 years old after battling cancer for some time. She will be truly missed by her sisters and brothers: Patricia (Stephen) Condon, Robert M Cosby, Joan (Elvin) Belle, Eloy (Mickie) Cosby, Rick (Charlotte) Cosby, Norman Cosby, Jessica (Michael) Paddack, Ruth (Sidney) Taylor, Mark Cosby (deceased), and Isadore (Vanessa) Cosby.
And a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and relatives and friends.

Sadly, missed by those left behind…
Welcomed in the Arms of Jesus…
The Battle may have been lost…
BUT THE VICTORY HAS BEEN WON!!!!

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder why I am calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! But JESUS’ love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with JESUS’ arms to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or Dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth’s shadows,
Pray to trust our Father’s will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remains
You shall rest in Jesus’ hand.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
