Sue Ellen Dooley

May 13, 1942 — February 9, 2020

Sue Ellen Dooley, 77, of Carmel, passed away peacefully on Feburary 9, 2020, at St.Vincent hospital in Carmel, Indiana.

Sue was born in St.Paul, Indiana to Opal and James Ross on May 13th 1942. She married Robert Owen Dooley on September 2, 1961 in Arlington, Virginia. She lived in Leesburg, FL for 6 years before moving to Tucson, AZ. After her husband passed away in 2005, she moved to Indianapolis, IN to be closer to family. For most of her life she was a wife, mother and homemaker.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Her mother Opal, her fathers, James and Thurman Duncan, and her son, Owen Robert.

Sue is survived by her daughter Janice Smith, husband Sean, children Peyton and Dillon; daughter Susan Pike, son James; brothers, Philip, wife Mikal, John, wife Kathy, Gary, wife Gina. Her 5 nieces and nephews and her cousins.

Visitation services will begin at noon with the memorial services following at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 13th 2020 at Northview Church, 12900 Hazel Dell Parkway Carmel, Indiana, with Doug Kizer officiating.

Sue will be laid to rest at Slate Ridge Cemetery in Delta, Pennsylvania with her husband and his family.
