Stewart Angell, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away October 17, 2024 in Greenwood, Indiana, at the age of 77. He was born on July 2, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to LeGrande Angell and Harriet Robinson.
Stewart enlisted in the Air Force in April 1965 which led him to obtaining a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and master's in electrical engineering. It was during his time in officer training school (OTS) that he met his wife, Karen Angell. Their union was filled with love and blessed with a large family. He proudly served in the Air Force for 20 years before retirement.
He began his professional journey with Sun Microsystems and later contributed to Oracle, specializing in mass storage and data recovery.
Stewart is survived by his wife, Karen, his children: Sean, Les, Tim, Ken, Karena, Patrick, Phil, Christopher, and Michelle. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to 22 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 15 great-grandchildren.
Outside of his professional life, Stewart was a man of many interests and talents. His love for music was evident as he enjoyed playing the piano, bringing joy to those around him. He was deeply involved in his church community, where he devoted his time and skills in service to others. Stewart often found happiness in home improvement projects, applying his practical skills to remodel homes and create inviting spaces for his loved ones.
Stewart is lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his warmth, generosity, and commitment to both his career and his community.
In celebrating Stewart Angell’s life, we remember a man whose legacy will endure through the generations he nurtured and the lives he touched.
Burial will take place at Crown Hill National Cemetery on Friday, August 1, 2024, at 10am.
