Stephen P. Brown, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 30, 2021.
Steve “Hash Brown” was born in Indianapolis to James and Betty Brown on April 9, 1951. He joined the Army in 1968 at the age 18 and served his country in Vietnam for 2 years and was honorably discharged in 1971.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Brown, and nephew Erik Lovell. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Brown; sister, Bonnie Fortner; fiancé, Karen Johnson; former spouse, Paula Brown; daughter, Jessica Brown; son, Paul Brown; grandchild, Vivian Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Indiana funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, on May 8th from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a service to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis on Monday, May 10th at noon with military honors.
