Stephanie Rae Folden

Stephanie Rae Folden, 39, lost her life to a Pulmonary Embolism on July 31, 2020. She was born November 11, 1980, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Raymond Folden and Sandra (Reichard Folden) Welhoelter. She graduated from Pelham High School, Alabama, in 2001. After graduation, she moved back to Indianapolis.

She worked at the Oak Mountain Chick-fil-A, Pelham, Alabama, while in High School. Upon her return to Indianapolis, she obtained a position in the Bakery at Marsh on East 82nd Street. She left there for a stocking position at Meijer’s. And finally found her forever job at the Home Depot #2018, Castleton, Indiana where she worked as their lot attendant for 16 years. She received many praises and awards while she was with Home Depot.

Stephanie always had an infectious smile and never knew a stranger. Everyone was her “Buddy”. She sent daily texts to everyone wishing them Good Morning and Good Night with a short note of how many carts she had put away and the number of steps it took her to do it. The canine visitors to the Home Depot were always welcome to a treat and some of them would watch for her upon arriving there. She loved her kitties when she was at home.

She loved the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers and watched them or followed them on her phone apps whenever they played. She also enjoyed watching the Indiana Fuel (Hockey) and the Indianapolis Indians (Baseball) when she was able to attend. She loved bowling and always participated in the Home Depot bowling events. She loved to shop and buy things for everyone. Her music was mostly Country or Golden Oldies and she loved to sing along.

Stephanie is survived by her Mother, Sandra (Charles) Reichard Folden Welhoelter, Indianapolis, Indiana; her Father Raymond (Linda) Folden, Denver, North Carolina; her Sister Kimberly (Kyle) Roland and Niece Kylan, Vail, Arizona; Maternal Grandfather, Joseph P. Loney, Plainfield, Indiana; Step-sister Jaime Aaron and Nephew Sebastian. She is also survived by many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and 2nd Cousins.

She was preceded in death by Maternal Grandmother, Doris L. Loney; and Paternal Grandparents Ronald and Laura Folden.

She will be cremated with a Memorial Service to be held at the Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250 on Friday August 14, 2020 at 4pm. Visitation prior to service from 2pm - 4pm.
