Shirley Venable was born on November 15, 1943. She was the oldest daughter of Loretta Vaughn, who preceded her in death.

Shirley attended IPS #36 and #43, She was married to John Venable from 1966 until 1980. Shirley retired from RCA and later worked at LaRue D. Carter Memorial Hospital.

Shirley professed her belief in Jesus Christ to everyone in every church she visited. She loved rejoicing in the Lord through song and scripture. Whenever possible Shirley would happily engage the residents where she resided in activities. Her favorite activity was a good game of cards. Shirley’s favorite pastime was eating tasty foods. Her favorite time of the year was her birth month-November. Shirley would celebrate in gratitude for the entire month.

Shirley Venable leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Aukejuana Vaughn,and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 1pm on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
