Shirley Joyce Steele

Shirley Joyce Steele, 71, of New Palestine Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2020 in hospice care. She was born on July 3rd, 1948 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late William and Laura (Travis) Loux.
Shirley was a fun-loving mother and grandmother to all. She loved traveling with family, playing bingo with friends, watching all her kids/grandkids play sports, and crocheting blankets and stockings for everyone. She was an inspiration to all who were blessed to have known her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Steele; her brother, Randall Loux; her sister, Patricia (Loux) Bacher; and her son, Curtis E. Steele (wife Sherrie) along with two half-brothers, Steven and Edward Loux.
She is survived by her children, Russell Steele (wife Kelly), New Palestine; Eric Steele (wife Cherie), Indianapolis; Matthew Steele (wife Shanda), Fishers; and Joel Steele, O’Fallon, IL; 19 grandkids and 7 great-grandkids; her sister Sherry (Loux) Sparks, her brother Terry Loux and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
