Sherita “Punkin” Treadwell
Sherita “Punkin” Treadwell was born April 14, 1975, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Betty Ann Hardin and Edward Ronald Treadwell. She passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at the age of 46, after a sudden, and courageous battle with cancer amongst other health conditions.
Sherita attended Indianapolis Public School, as well as Lawrence Township schools. She enjoyed cooking, reading, completing many crossword and word search puzzles, watching a good Lifetime movie, and most of all having gatherings on special occasions with her family. She loved to play bingo on her phone, and enjoyed occasional funny selfies with her youngest, Amanda, on Snapchat. Her greatest joy was the time she had with her children, and grandchildren.
Punkin, while known to be quiet, could definitely light up a room with her contagious energy and personality, and at times wouldn’t shy away from giving you a good challenge either.
She is survived by her parents, Betty A. Hardin and Edward R. Treadwell; her eight children, Terina R. Lomax, Sabrina Tunstill, Derrick C. L. Tunstill, Geneva L. Byrd, Edward R. Tunstill, Patricia A. Byrd, Modex Tibbs, and Amanda S. Treadwell; ten grandchildren, Amyla Tunstill, London Johnson, King Johnson, Tahary Jefferson, Eli Tunstill, Princess Tunstill, Rome Johnson, Derrick Tunstill Jr., Samauri Lofton, and Angel Lomax; her sister Tonya Walker; brother, Marcus Hardin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Anna Mae and Richard Tunstill, Elizabeth and Steve Treadwell, and her brothers Christopher L. Hardin, and Allen M. Loyal.
