Shelby Jean Greenberg, 75, of Indianapolis Indiana, was taken to heaven on May 8, 2020. She was born Shelby Jean Swain to parents Lloyd and Betty Swain from Petersburg Indiana.
She is survived and loved by her husband of 58 years, Samuel W. Greenberg. She was mother to and loved by her daughter, Annette Meyer (Patrick) and son, David Greenberg (Cynthia). She was a loving grandma to Amanda McCabe (Joshua), Abigail Dull (Matthew), Molly Rhodes (Jacob), William Greenberg, Logan Greenberg, and Diana Turner and great-grandma to Cadence and Tobin.
She is also survived by her sisters Oneida Fair (Marvin) and Phyllis Dillon (Norman) of Petersburg, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many who knew her as a surrogate mother and grandmother. She was loved by many and friendly to everyone. She was known for her kindness, generosity and for always looking for ways to help. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with friends and family.
She had her own ceramic shop for years, worked at Target and in 1986, along with her husband started Continental Office Supply in Indianapolis.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Carmel Indiana.
There will be a private burial.
