Sharrese M. Brown “Fatman”, received his wings and departed us too early on June 7, 2020,
after a courageous fight with colon cancer. Sharrese was born the only son to the parents of Otis Brown (deceased) and Linda Burns Brown.
He was a graduate of Washington High School in 1993, where he victoriously played football.
Sharrese developed a love for cooking at an early age. At his death, he had served more than 20 years as the head cook at Iron Skillet Restaurant, on West 30th Street.
Sharrese was an angel that touched everyone he met. He was a “gentle” soul and will be deeply missed. He was a Beloved Son, Devoted Father, loving brother and faithful friend. He had the ability to always make you laugh and smile.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Otis Brown, Jr, his father Otis Brown (Debbie), his grandmother Helen Russell and his grandfather James R. Burns, Jr.
Sharrese is survived by his grandmother, Roberta Burns; his mother, Linda Burns Brown; his stepmother, Debbie Brown; his daughters: LaTanisha Renee Brown; Paris Sharrese; his sisters, Stacy Gilbert(Kenny), Dawn Benefiel, Ivy Tanisha (Tisha) Brown, Michelle Benefiel, Charlilah Brown; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
