After a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication, we celebrate the memory of Shane Austin McKinstry, a loving husband, son, brother, and friend. Born on August 10, 1996, in Red Bluff, CA, Shane touched the lives of many with his kind heart and generous spirit. He passed away on July 13, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion.
Shane is survived by his beloved wife, Bryanna McKinstry, his devoted parents, Sam and Shawna McKinstry, as well as his siblings: Sam, Scotty, Kaleb, Sara, Ivory, Kalee, and Katelynn. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Throughout his life, Shane served in the Air National Guard and pursued a career as an automotive mechanic, displaying his passion for all things mechanical. His hobbies included playing Xbox, hiking, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson. He had a deep love for his family, his three pet children, his country, and the San Francisco 49ers.
In celebrating his life, we honor Shane's shining qualities: his heart of gold, kindness, loyalty, hard work, humor, and generosity. He brought light into the lives of all who knew him, a light that will continue to shine brightly even after he has passed.
In keeping with his spirit, a public gathering will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel on July 20, 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm. Let us come together to celebrate the life of Shane McKinstry and the love that he shared with us all.
As we bid farewell to Shane, let us remember the light he brought into our lives and the love that will continue to resonate for eternity. "You will be loved for forever, and ever, and beyond." Rest in peace, Shane, knowing that your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
