Sestilio "Leo" Montarsi

Sestilio (Leo) Montarsi passed away November 20, 2024 at the age of 96.  He was born in Sezze, Italy on December 22, 1927 to his father, Ascenzo Montarsi and mother, Maria Cardarello. 

He had three brothers, Filippo, Salvatore and Angelo, all who died at young ages and one sister, Teresa.  Leo came to the United States on the passenger ship Saturnia in 1955. After a short stay in Elmira, New York, he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. There, he met and married Anna LaGrotte in 1958. Together, they raised three sons, Philip, Mario and Anthony (wife-Shelli). Leo was a union brick mason (Local #4) working many large commercial construction projects throughout Central Indiana.  Leo also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, especially with his sons.  

Leo leaves behind his three boys, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
