Serafina Mary Alexander

Serafina "Sally" Mary Alexander (Perrone), of Fishers, IN, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 25, 1939, in Pittston, PA, to Anne and Archie Perrone, Serafina was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose personality and strength touched countless lives.

Raised in Buffalo, NY, alongside her siblings—Peter Perrone, Joanne Chimera, Marie DeSalvo, and Lucy Perrone-Mancuso—Sally carried the spirit of a tight-knit and faithful family throughout her life. Mom was proud of the time she spent as a flight attendant for United Airlines and the life she lived in New York City. She met her future husband, Timothy Lee Alexander, on a flight and they married on January 30, 1966. They built a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, faith, family, and a cocktail together every evening! A proud homemaker and devoted Catholic, she was known for her relentless spirit and strength, her delicious cooking, a love for gardening, and creative talent as a watercolor artist.

Mom was predeceased by her parents, Archie and Anne, her husband Tim of 56 years, her beloved brother, Peter, and her sisters Joanne and Lucy. She leaves behind her caring sister Marie DiSalvo, son Chris (Margie) Alexander; daughters Kim (Steve) Fillenwarth, and Kara Alexander, grandchildren, Sophia Alexander; Thomas (TJ) Alexander; Audrey Alexander; Nicholas (Nick) Fillenwarth; and Harper Fillenwarth, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A Catholic Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of Peace in Indianapolis, IN on March 22, 2025 at 1 pm.
