Sara Jo McClain, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025 at 5:30am at the age 67.
Sara was born on February 18, 1957 in Bloomington, Indiana, to the late Ivan and Lois Willibey. She was the youngest of four children; brother, David (Donetta) Willibey; two sisters, Diana Longfellow and Carole Osborne.
Sara was united in marriage with Jimmy McClain, whom she loved with her whole heart, on July 16, 1983 and together they were blessed with two daughters. Sara enjoyed life and many things in it. You could either find her at the lake on the boat, or by the pool on summer days. She loved to have fun and take vacations to see new places and beaches. Sara loved her children and grandchildren. In the winter months you could find her cheering on all three of her grandsons at their basketball games, or any of their other sporting events. You could also see her teaching her granddaughter "Patty Cake" or "Wheels on the Bus". If she wasn't doing any of these things, she was shopping, reading, or putting together a puzzle. Sara lived a very fulfilled life full of love and happiness.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jimmy McClain; her two daughters, Heather (Justin) Brown and Emily(Josh) Medsker; her grandchildren, Gavin Brown, Caden Brown, Ashton Brown and Remington Medsker; she was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Lois Willibey; Brothers in Law, John Longfellow and Daniel Osborne; Mother in Law, Beverly McClain; Father in Law, Leslie McClain.
