Sara A. Surface (Hibbeln), 79, passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2020. She was born in Connersville, IN on October 15, 1941 to Frank and Veronica (Houle) Hibbeln. Sara graduated from Connersville High School in 1959 and flourished in a career in the moving industry.
In retirement, Sara enjoyed gardening, exercising and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Bill) Baker and son, Robert Surface, as well as five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Dianne Hibbeln, Naia Sears and brothers, Dr. Frederic Hibbeln and Dr. Thomas Hibbeln and a granddaughter, Mary Frances Baker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00pm at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, Fishers, IN. Graveside service to follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sara’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Hospital - stjude.org or the American Cancer Society - cancer.org.
