Sandra K. Wendell

Sandra Kaye Wendell (Hutchison), age 71, went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2023, in Greenwood, Indiana.

Sandra is survived by her sister, Judith Blackburn; three daughters, Heidi Wendell, Carrie Ballard (Clay), and Amanda Marcum (Steve); five grandchildren, Laurren, Chanel, Chay, Calvin, and Mack; two great-grandchildren and one on the way, Chandler, Braylen and Ivy; six nephews and four nieces; and several great nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Vearl and Stella Elizabeth Hutchison; and her siblings, Vearlyne Moore, Joseph Hutchison, and Jack Hutchison.

Sandra was born on December 19, 1951 in Franklin, Indiana, to parents William Vearl and Stella Elizabeth Hutchison. She worked at various places throughout her life, but her greatest ambition was her dedication to being a homemaker and lovingly raising her three daughters as a single mother.

Sandra always put family first and enjoyed spending time with each of them. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Her family and friends will always remember her as a caring, kind and selfless person.

There will be a visitation and funeral service on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. The visitation is from 11:30am to 1:30pm, with the funeral service to start at 1:30pm. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
