Sandra S. Galinger

June 27, 1942 — April 16, 2020

Sandra Sauvan Galinger, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020.  She was born on June 27, 1942.  She is the daughter of Arthur and Margaret Sauvain who predeceased her along with her brother Ted Sauvain.  She is survived by brothers R. Skip Sauvan, Tom Sauvain and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She graduated from Shortridge High School, Class of 1960 and earned her Undergraduate and Masters Degrees from Indiana University.  She was a lifetime educator teaching both French and Spanish.  She taught in schools in Hammond, Indiana and Amelia, Ohio. She was an active member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church.  She volunteered in the after school tutoring program, the food pantry, mission committee, and others whenever needed.
Sandra was an excellent bridge player, crossword aficionado, an animal lover, and French conversationalist.
She lived a full and wonderful life with many warm and loving memories.  There will be a memorial service at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church when we are allowed to gather due to the COVID-19 virus.
