Sandra Kay Faude

Sandra "Sandy" Kay Faude, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born in Indianapolis on March 20, 1946, Sandy was the daughter of the late Donald Russell McAuley and Dorothy Gail Housel McAuley. She was a 1964 graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School and went on to graduate from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she earned her dental certificate. She dedicated 40 years of service to the dental office of Dr. Edwin Robertson, where she served as a dental assistant and later office manager.

Sandy was the devoted partner of Terry McClellan for 35 years, who predeceased her in 2024. They reconnected at their high school class reunion and shared a love of the Indy 500 race and festivities. Sandy cherished her time spent with her son Ric and his wife Abby, her brother Don McAuley, her late sister Linda McAuley Cashe (2021), and a host of cherished memories with her extended family and friends.

Sandy had a deep love for travel, both within and outside the US. Her adventures took her to the Caribbean, Mexico, Italy, Switzerland, and even included a year living with her family in the Netherlands.

Sandy leaves behind her son, Ric Faude (Abby); her brother, Donald McAuley (Jean); nieces Alison McAuley McGovern, Lori McAuley Miller, Christie McAuley, Kim Cashe, and Julie Cashe; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she treasured.

Sandy was known for her kindness, generosity, and compassion. Her memory will remain in our hearts.
