Sandra A. Beasley

Sandra A. Beasley, 84, passed away on October 16, 2022.  She was born in Indianapolis on April 11. 1938 to the late Thomas and Geraldine McCormick.  Sandy spent her life as a loving wife, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend.  On August 30, 1958, she married Frank Beasley, spending 60 years together.  They met at their first jobs at Eli Lilly.  They loved long drives together, traveling to Naples, Florida and Michigan while enjoying sunny days at the beach. They were best friends!  In their earlier years, Sandy entertained and played cards with her church group and later with her long-time neighborhood friends.  While her children attended St, Jude School she was the parish secretary.  Most important was time with family: supporting her husband, spoiling her grandchildren with sleepovers, and generous gift-giving on birthdays and Christmas.  Sandy was the ultimate caregiver to her family in need.  

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank Beasley, and brother Mike McCormick.  Survivors include her sister, Antionette Creed; her children Kathy (Tom) Berry and Keith Beasley; grandchildren Meghan, Kelly, and Conor Berry, Jennifer (Matt) Hlvasa and Joseph (Ashley) Beasley; great-grandchildren Hunter and Gunner Beasley, Ziggy and CiCi Hlavsa.

Family and friends will gather for visitation Friday, October 21, 2022, 12pm - 1pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial follows at 1 pm with burial at Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Missionaries of Charity, Queen of Peace Shelter, 2424 E. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46201.
