Samuel Clyde Warren

April 5, 1942 — April 29, 2021

In Loving Memory of a Good Man, a Good Husband, and Good Father.

Samuel Clyde Warren Jr, 79, of Greenfield, Indiana passed away in post-surgery ICU care on April 29, 2021.

Often referred to as the ‘smartest guy in the room’, he enjoyed a 30+ year career at the Naval Air Warfare Center as a civil servant where he retired as a Sr. Engineer. He enjoyed motorcycles, softball, building PC’s and collecting things, among other hobbies with his friends, family, and associates during his 22 years of retirement. (Often found at Café Heidelberg) But most of all, Sam was a family man, who relished time with his friends and family.

Sam is survived by his wife Judi of 56 years, daughter Samantha (Christy), son Thomas (Tom) and his youngest son James (Jim) as well as his sister Sarah and his younger brother John. Sam was blessed with 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, many nieces, a nephew, and a loving extended family. Sam will be remembered as a uniquely honest man, loving father, husband, provider, great friend to many and a wonderful grandfather to all… A dutiful son, he rarely missed an opportunity to visit and enjoy time with his parents Samuel and Mellville who both preceded him in death.

Visitation will be at Indiana Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250, from 1:00pm to 3pm Monday May 10, 2021. His burial will be at Alexander Memorial Park, for immediate family, Evansville, IN. May 11, 2021 at 1pm (local).
