Samuel Aaron Sweeney, 57 of Indianapolis, passed away on June 7, 2021 in his home surrounded by family and friends.
Sam was born on December 5, 1963 in, Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Delbert and Ella Mae Sweeney. On June 21, 1987, he married Cheryl L. Sweeney (Roberts) in Indianapolis, and together they shared 34 years of memories.
Sam loved to go camping with his wife and friends any chance they got. He also enjoyed when he and Cheryl would travel to the Smoky Mountains.
Sam is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cheryl L. Sweeney (Roberts); sister, Evelyn M. (Ronald) Irmscher; uncle, Robert (Pat) Sweeney; aunts, Sue Hamilton and Linda Himphill; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents, one uncle, two aunts, and grandmother, Evelyn Thomason
A memorial service will be held on June 19, 2021 at the Irvington Seventh-day Adventist Church beginning at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sam`s memory may be sent to American Neurological Association.
