Salome Ann Senics

March 13, 1940 — December 27, 2024

Salome Ann Senics (Sally), age 84, of Whiting, Indiana passed away peacefully at the home of her son Michael in Fishers, Indiana on Friday before sunrise, on December 27, 2024.

Sally was born on March 13, 1940, in Hammond, Indiana to Wesley and Jennie (Koslow) Fry. Sally grew up with her three brothers Wesley, Richard and Bruce and were affectionately known as “the Fry kids”. They always stuck together and took care of each other – which Sally later instilled in her own children and grandchildren.

Sally graduated from Gary Edison High School. She then went to work as a dental receptionist for Paul Senics, D.D.S., in the Brunswick neighborhood of Gary, Indiana.

Paul and Sally married on July 20, 1963, and were blessed with two children, Paula and Michael.

Sally devoted herself to her family and always put others before herself to ensure we were all well-taken-care-of and loved. Sally took pride in working with her husband, Paul, building their dental practice and taking care of patients for 35 years.

She loved sitting at her dining room table looking out through the large dining room bay window, having conversations for hours with family and friends, reading the newspaper and working on jigsaw puzzles. Anything you needed, Mom was there. It will be difficult to fill the hours that were spent talking with Mom every day.

Sally was a lover of all animals. Any dog, stray cat, bird, raccoon, possum, even bear who crossed paths with Sally never went hungry.

Nana loved to laugh and was deeply involved in the lives of her six grandchildren: Teddy, Valerie, Anthony and Stephanie Niemiec, Ariel and Michael Senics. We’ll always remember Nana saying “Come sit down. Go grab a Diet Snapple and here’s some Dove chocolates.” Nana left a permanent hug and kiss on our cheek and always told us how much she loved us.

Sally is remembered as a sweet, loving, caring, wonderful woman who cherished her family with all of her heart. It is difficult to express just how much of an impact Nana made on our family.

Sally is survived by her two children: Paula (Dr. Ted) Niemiec of Munster, Indiana and Michael (Christine) Senics of Fishers, Indiana; six grandchildren: Teddy (Alyssa), Valerie, Anthony and Stephanie Niemiec, Ariel and Michael Senics; soon-to-be first great-grandchild baby boy Niemiec; brother Bruce (Alexis) Fry of Highland, Indiana; sisters-in-law Deanna and Judy Fry; and her constant companion chihuahua Boo.

Preceded in death by her husband Paul Senics, D.D.S.; brothers Wesley and Richard Fry.

To honor Sally’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to please privately celebrate Sally through prayers and fond memories. Charitable donations may be made to Humane Indiana (humaneindiana.org/donate) in Sally’s name.
