Rosemary Thrasher Hood
Born July 4, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Edna & Charles Thrasher .
Rosemary loved her darling husband, Shelby B. Hood II so much she married him twice. Shelby preceded her in death. Surviving is a brother, Charles Frederick(Freda) Thrasher Jr. She and Shelby have five surviving children. They enjoyed their five children Sherrie (Richard )Grant, Shelby B.(Mary)Hood III, Teri (Mike) Hively, Scott (Kim)Hood, Robin (Steve)Potts. She enjoyed a multitude of Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren that were her pride and joy.
Rosemary was a true Proverbs 31:(10-31) woman. She was a Christian and an avid believer in Jesus Christ. She was a graduate of Eminence HS (a cheerleader) and attended her 73rd class reunion. She also graduated from Ivy tech school of Nursing. She was a caretaker for both her Husband and Mother. Rosemary had a variety of jobs before settling in her Nursing career. Rosemary loved all card games usually a game would ensue at family & friend gatherings. She enjoyed dogs and horses and the Kentucky Derby in particular. A true candy lover she always had candy with her but actually shared more than she consumed. She wore many hats. Rosemary was an Executive Secretary, PTA Secretary, Census taker, a Square Dancer, Seamstress, and a member of Tri Kappa among many organizations.
Rosemary’s wishes were that her family and friends would have a large celebration and party
after her death. That party will be on her birthday July 4, 2021 at the Hood farm in Benton
County Indiana. A private graveside service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, Indiana at a future
date.
