Rosemary Stone, 91, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 9, 2021 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville, IN. She was a long-time resident of Indianapolis, IN.
Rosemary was born in Chicago, IL to William and Mildred Devers. She is survived by her sons; Richard Baum Jr. - Zionsville, IN, William Baum - Wheat Ridge, CO, and John Baum - Colorado Springs, CO; Grandson - Nathaniel Baum, and Great granddaughter - McKenzie Baum. She is predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Richard Baum Sr. - Indianapolis, IN, oldest grandson, Benjamin Baum - Scottsbluff, NE, and late husband, Kenneth Stone - Indianapolis, IN.
She attended vocational school in Chicago, IL and married her first husband, Richard Baum Sr. in 1950. She was a dedicated housewife, and a full-time mother of three active sons. Her friends call her "Rosie," and were greeted by her winning smile and warm hospitality. She worked at AAA Motor Club, liked to travel, barbecue, and enjoyed her bowling league. Rosie married Kenny Stone in 1987. She faithfully attended the East 91st Christian Church where she served as a greeter, participated in the Sister-to-Sister Bible Study and enjoyed the Best Years Fellowship Group. Rosie was known by her family for her fervent praying, compassionate heart and reading her Bible at the kitchen table. Rosie supported patriotic organizations and belonged to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She supported her sons and grandsons who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. She loved the Christmas season because she held sacred the miraculous virgin birth of Jesus Christ and expressed loving hospitality to her family and friends. Rosie's favorite preachers were Billy Graham and Charles Stanley. Her favorite passage was Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Many will miss her winning smile, sense of humor, strong and determined spirit, giving heart and welcoming hospitality which always made people feel at home.
A private graveside service is scheduled at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
