Ronnie (Ron) Brewington, 70, of Beech Grove, IN passed away on February 18, 2021.
Ronnie was born on August 11, 1950 to Lyle and Nannie Brewington in Burkesville, KY. After graduating from Washington High School, Indianapolis, IN in 1968, he went on to join the United States Marine Corps for the next four years.
After the Marine Corps, he worked for Ingredion (National Starch and Chemical) until he retired in 2006.
Ronnie was passionate about racing and the Indianapolis Colts and his involved with the American Legion Post 355.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife , Josephine (Cropper), his son, Erin Brewington (Leslie), his two stepsons, Scott Templin (Michaelann) and Robert Templin and his siblings, Joseph (Jane), Gary (Gwen), Wendell, Cheryl (Brett), Shelia (Jim), and Richard. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Micalah Brewington and another grandchild to arrive in March 2021.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life on February 27th between 3pm to 6pm at the American Legion Post 355 Community Building, 7610 S. Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46217. There will not be a service conducted during this celebration but the family will be following all COVID regulations such as limited capacity, social distancing and face masks. The family ask that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Diabetes Association in Ronnie's name.
