Roger William Lindsey

Roger William Lindsey, 67, of Indianapolis passed away at St. Francis Hospital South on July 27, 2023.  

Roger was born in Beech Grove on October 8, 1955 to the late, loving parents, Floyce and Ruth Lindsey.  

He was also preceded in death by his brother Steven Lindsey, brother Michael Lindsey, and sister Linda Aliff.

 

Roger is survived by his daughter, Rachel Jarrell, (husband Jason), McMinnville, TN; granddaughters, Caitlyn Jarrell Hyde, (husband Jacob); Megan Jarrell, McMinnville, TN; great-granddaughter, Samantha, (Sammie); brother, Harold Lindsey, (wife Maryjean), Avon, IN; brother, Gary Coffey, (wife Karen), Columbus, IN; sister, Cathy Irvin, (husband Randy) Eminence, IN. There are also several nieces and nephews.

 

Roger was a very knowledgeable carpenter, mechanic, and he worked many years in construction and concrete. He also liked to spend time tending to his vegetable garden.

 

He spent many years camping at Green Acres campground; where family would get together in the summertime for cookouts.  In the previous years, Roger liked to cook; he made the best homemade potato salad.  

 

Roger enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved to go fishing with his brother Harold. And he was a long time fan of the old TV shows and western movies.
