Our beloved, Robert W. Poorman III, Bert, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at the age of 43 surrounded by friends and family.
Bert was a friendly soul, always being there for friends and family. Bert’s kindness knew no bounds, he rarely asked for help, but he was always willing to go the extra mile for those he loved. An avid Phish head, he spent many a nights at shows or listening to his favorite set. Sports was another strong passion, as he was a supporter of the Cubs, Colts, Notre Dame, IU basketball, Liverpool Football Club; you name it and he enjoyed the sport. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway was also a big part of his life spending time with his friends and family at races since he was a child. He was a fanatic, he’d be able to recall almost any stat you’d want to know.
Bert was above all a loving, devoted father. He leaves behind three wonderful daughters, Piper, Millie, and Esther. Throughout their childhood, Bert made sure to help prepare meals, give baths, and tuck each one in every night. He made sure to help Piper develop her basketball skills, Millie and Esther he helped with their soccer, and enjoyed taking them all to school. He loved them dearly and wished nothing but the best for them.
Bert is predeceased by his father, Robert W. Poorman Jr.. He is survived by his mother, Mary C. Poorman, brother, Scott Poorman, his three daughters, Piper, Millie, and Esther, and countless friends.
