Bill Lohman entered God's kingdom February 11, 2020 at 63 years of age. He was born in Noblesville, Indiana August 2, 1956 to Robert Franklin Lohman and Gloria Mae Thomas. He graduated from Southport High School in 1974 and later earned his nursing degree from the University of Indianapolis. Bill was a jack of all trades and used his many skills and abilities to help others. He married the love of his life Ruth (Hofmann) on May 16, 1998 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bill was a kind-hearted man, who loved his family with all his heart. He faced many challenges during his life but always met them with strength, a positive attitude and a strong faith in God. He loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to music and going to concerts. He loved spending time with his family and his grandson. Bill was a hard worker who always cared for others and was willing to help someone in need. Bill was a member of AA and was proudly 26 years sober. He was a kind and loving man who always had a smile on his face and found the good in every trial he went through. His infectious laugh made us all feel joy.
Bill was a member of Strawtown Community Church in Noblesville, Indiana. He loved his family and friends with all his heart and helped whenever he was called upon to serve. He was a good and faithful servant. He was an incredible husband, father, brother and friend.
Bill will be forever remembered by his wife Ruth (Hofmann); son Matthew; daughter Alexa (Chris) Economos; grandson Leo Economos, sister Deborah (Lohman) Shook, sister Rebecca (Lohman) Romine; many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lohman, mother Gloria (Thomas) Sturgeon and nephew Ryan Shook.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held Monday, February 17, 2020 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46250. Visitation starts at 9:30 am and the service will begin at 12:00. The burial will be after the service at Summit Lawn Cemetery, 1154 Westfield Boulevard, Westfield, Indiana 46074.
