Robert (Bob) Roman Tylinski, 81, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023. Bob was born December 6, 1941 in Michigan City, IN to the late Raymond and Adella Tylinski.
After graduating high school Bob served four years in the United States Navy. Later in life he was an active member of the USS Canberra reunion association.
Bob met his wife Jean (Susie) through the singles club they belonged to and later married in January of 1971. They maintain numerous treasured friendships from their singles club to this day.
Bob and Jean first moved to Indianapolis in order for Bob to help bring the PBS (WFYI) television station online. Bob taught radio and television at North Central high school for five years and eventually finished his career as an electronics technician with Allison Transmission where he retired after more than 20 years.
Bob maintained his amateur radio license and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Adella Tylinski.
He is survived by his wife Jean, son Tim (Christy) Tylinski of Liberty Township, OH, brother Dennis (Rozella) Tylinski of Michigan City, IN, sister Darlene Clay of Michigan City, IN, grandson Ethan Tylinski, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
There will be a visitation and funeral service on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Indiana Funeral Care, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.
