The Final Kiss
The time we all spent together was wonderful. How you made us all laugh with the memories you remembered, (and, those you forgot). It took us back to when mama was still here. Remembering the good and not so good times always filled us with joy. It wasn’t the good or the bad that mattered, it was the fact that we were all together. As time went on, we went our separate ways. Living life as it came to us; all with different experiences, good and not so good. We always kept each other in our hearts. When you became sick we were all together again. This time, dreading, that final kiss. We watched you as you became sicker and we knew the day was getting nearer; but, we thanked God for allowing us this last time to be together. We were there until the end, as was mom and all the others. We held your hands and rubbed your precious head. All the while thanking God for this, the final kiss.
