Robert Lee Mehringer, 79, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022.
He was born on Wednesday, February 18, 1942, in Dale, Indiana to the late Owen John and Norma Ruth (Toole) Mehringer.
Bob was in the United States Army and served from 1960-1963. He worked for Diamond Chain and Allison Gas and Turbine of Indianapolis as a Millwright. He was a member of the Order of Kentucky Colonels, F&A, Masons, Stilesville Lodge #131 & Monroe Lodge #22 (Award of Gold), York Wright #127, Knight Mason #15, The American Legion Post 230, and Retired UAW Local Union 933.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, shooting sports enthusiast and advocate for the 2nd Amendment Rights. He was best for finding the best breakfast in every hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Indiana.
Bob is survived by his daughter, N. Jane Terry-Mehringer; sons, John R. Mehringer and his wife Michele, James L. Mehringer and his wife Shannon; sisters, Pamela R. Mehringer-Hamner, Marilyn J. Mehringer-Brown, Judy A. Mehringer-Stoneham, and her husband Stephen; brothers, Michael A. Mehringer, Richard E. Mehringer; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma C. Mehringer-Arnold-Barger; parents, Owen J., and N. Ruth Mehringer; brother, Owen W. Mehringer; sister, Denise L. Mehringer-Finley; and former spouse, Linda F. Mehringer-Osborne.
Visitation is Wednesday, February 2, 2022, 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
Funeral service will begin at 6:00 pm.
